Colouring for Kids with Glenn Scolyer and Emma Johnson.

A new course aimed at kids aged 9 – 13 wanting to learn pencil and pen drawing techniques and how to apply them, will begin soon at the newly and wonderfully renovated Sherbrooke Art Society, on Monbulk Road. No experience necessary, all materials provided, no smock needed, enthusiasm essential.

Classes are Monday afternoons 4pm – 5.30. $15 per student. No classes on school and public holidays.

On the course the kids will work both by themselves and collaboratively, learning creative and traditional techniques. We’ll practice making letters and objects 3d, composition, getting started, textures, drawing from life, movement, portraits, light and landscape, storytelling and abstract colour. The aim is to explore drawing concepts and arm the artist with tricks to tempt out their natural self-expression.
